Fresh off their Women’s College World Series victory, the trio of Oklahoma Sooner softball players Jayda Coleman, Kierston Deal and Kinzie Hansen will be the featured speakers at the OKC Metro High School Sports Awards presented by LC Management Group.

The show will be held June 14 at the Rose State Performing Arts Center. Tickets can be purchased via this link.

Jayda Coleman is a big reason why the Sooners are celebrating their fourth straight national championship. The senior outfielder hit a walk-off, solo home run to lift the Sooners over Florida and advance to the best-of-three finals. The Sooners then defeated Texas 2-0 to claim the title.

Winning a fourth World Series is just one achievement on Coleman’s long resume of accolades. She is a four-time All-American, the 2023 Big12 Athlete of the Year and a top 10 finalist for the 2024 USA Softball Collegiate Player of the Year.

Hansen also had some big moments at the WCWS last week. The graduating senior had two home runs in the series and drove in six runs during the tournament to cap her career with her fourth national championship. Hansen is a member of the USA Softball Women’s National Team and winner of the 2023 Johnny Bench Award for Best College Softball Catcher and 4X All American. She currently holds the single-game program record for hits with five and entered 2023 ranked 10th in program history with 49 career home runs.

Sophomore Kierston Deal is one of the top prospects in the circle for the Sooners. Last week, she threw 9.1 innings over four games in the WCWS. She went 13-1 this season and pitched big innings in this year’s Women’s College World Series.

The OKC Metro High School Sports Awards, one of 20 regional shows across the United States, is a nine-month recognition program for students and athletes that will culminate in a red carpet show this spring. The show will recognize athletes, coaches and teams from the Oklahoma City Metro area.
